Celebrate All Things Filipino at Undiscovered SF

A couple of years ago, when a large swath of SoMa was declared SOMA Pilipinas, San Francisco officially recognized Filipinos place in and contributions to the city. It had previously been a little known fact that for over five decades or so, thousands of Filipinos had settled in SoMa. So as the neighborhood began to change, the SOMA Pilipinas designation helped initiate a plan to preserve cultural institutions and help prevent the displacement of Filipino residents.
As part of SOMA Pilipinas, UNDISCOVERED SF was created. The event, produced & conceived by Kultivate Labs and Make it Mariko, is a “Creative Night Market” that brings together artists, entertainers, food vendors and merchants – a celebration of Filipino culture.
Entertainment for the event on July 20th includes: Jocelyn Enriquez, CRSB, Triple Threat Djs, DJ Bitesize, Jenn Clemena, The Little Manila Dance Collective, Archive Dance Collective, Kanyon Sayers Roods, Frisopinx Cypher, DJ Imperial, and Nikø.
