In 2004, local comedians Brent Weinbach and Moshe Kasher began producing a comedy show in Oakland called Smug Shift. The show took stand-up out of the comedy clubs and dropped it into rock venues and warehouse spaces, reaching out to a crowd that wouldn’t normally go out to see comedy, and it became a fixture of Oakland’s flourishing art and music scene. Moshe and Brent host this evening of stand-up comedy, with a little bit of sketch and video sprinkled in along the way. Named “Best Of The Bay” by the East Bay Express, SF Sketchfest welcomes them back for another run in the festival.
