Rachel Deatherage is a Lyric Soprano with Coloratura from the Bay Area.
As a graduate of Sonoma State University with her BA in Vocal Performance she is the recipient of the Elaine Reynolds-Smith Scholarship, Evert B. Person Scholarship, and the Solano Community Symphony Scholarship.
She has participated in Master Classes with renowned opera singer Ruth Ann Swenson and international stage director David Ostwald.
Her recent performances include solos with the San Francisco Damen Chor Liederkranz, Lakeside Temple of Practical Christianity's Opera Workshop, Cinnabar's production of Purcell's "Fairy Queen", and the role of Lucy in The Walking Elephant's "Three Penny Opera" by Kurt Weill.
She is currently making plans for an audition trip to Europe starting March 3rd, 2014.
Rachel's recital is free for all (a good will offering available) and with a casual dress code.
Selections will include arias by Mozart, Puccini, and Dvořák.
