WHAT: An informational guided tasting of SIX port wines from three historic brands, with Port Ambassador Justin Smith
WHEN: Thursday, October 12th, 8pm-9:30pm (Come to the bar early, have a beer and relax until we start. Justin will be pouring tastes and talking to the crowd.)
Learn all about the world of Port wine: how it started, where it comes from, how it’s made, and it’s place in the greater wine and cocktail world! We’ll be sampling the different styles of Port from White to Ruby and Tawny! Join Justin Smith, the West Coast Port Ambassador for a taste through three of the most storied wineries in the Douro: Taylor-Fladgate, Fonseca, and Croft.
We’ll be sampling the following wines:
Fonseca, Siroco (white port)
Fonseca, Bin 27
Croft, Reserve Tawny
Taylor 10 year old tawny
Taylor 325th Anniversary Reserve Tawny
2015 Croft Roeda Vintage Port

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
yes, you must be 21 or older
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
16th Street BART Station, walk 2 blocks WEST from there on 16th.
#22 Bus
street parking is tough on Thursdays. There's a garage on Huff St.
What can I bring into the event?
Drinks purchased at the bar. Food can be ordered in (try Caviar.com) and eaten in the bar, but please don't bring dinner into the session.
