"August, August, We're not ready for you. Slip in like the fog and steal our summer."
Talented artists, Irene Poon and Charles Wong, slip into A Woman's Eye Gallery in August and provide a glimpse into another era with their sensitive photography of our Chinese community.
Wong studied with Minor White, Ansel Adams, Imogen Cunningham and Edward Weston at the California School of Fine Arts (now the S.F. Art Institute). He has had exhibitions locally and nationally. His latest work is the publication of Sweet and Sour. Wong recently had an exhibition with Irene Poon at the Smith Andersen North Gallery in San Anselmo.
Irene studied photography with Don Worth at San Francisco State. Her work has been shown in various local and national venues and has been published in Point and Counterpoint: Black and White Photography.
