The question is often raised, since the substantial amount of music from Sweden is dominating the charts globally, through the enormous success of super producers Max Martin, Redone the artist Robin and Swedish House Mafia.
And now... a new Swedish music sensation is causing a stir in every corner of the world, through the innovative way of discovering talent now via YouTube called DIRTY LOOPS!
Formed in 2009, Dirty Loops is a power trio that twists pop music in a way never done before. The long time friends and fellow musicians - Jonah (vox, keys), Henrik (bass) and Aaron (drums), all have very unique individual skills, which contribute to the "Dirty Loops Sound."
The young trio was discovered and nurtured by songwriter and manager Andreas Carlsson, who signed them as songwriter's and artists to his management company on their version of Lady Gaga's "Just Dance" alone. "Just Dance," their first video released in November 2010, became a huge success and without any promotion was viewed over 100,000 times and shared on Facebook by over 10,000 people within two months. Since then, millions of fans have discovered them online through their videos and recordings of masterfully, performed versions of hits from Britney Spears to Justin Bieber.
Andreas took Dirty Loops to long time friend and worldwide Chairman David Foster of Verve Music Group, who signed them as his first act. While working on their first album, they made their first trip to Asia for the David Foster and Friends Tour 2012. Joining other iconic artists, they performed in Singapore, Bangkok, Thailand, Jakarta, China and Japan. Upon their return, they were studio bound and in Fall 2013, their first original hit and video called "HIT ME" was released on YouTube and iTunes with tremendous response!
Where modern hits get a new soundscape of bouncy beats and interesting re-harmonizations; yet still with the hit melody in focus and presented by Jonah's incredible, wide ranged vocals. Their unmatched musicianship and unique arrangement skills are a rarity in today's world.
Dirty Loops' LOOPIFIED which debuted in Japan - April 2014, went #1 on the Pop Album Chart the first day! Their European promotional/gig tour begins in May 2014 and USA during Summer 2014!
