For over 20 years Cave Music-ancient instruments in awesome acoustics- has presented solo performances and recordings of David Auerbach, The Improvisator, who plays ancient, folkloric instruments: drums, strings and winds.
His concerts in wine caves, landmark buildings, sanctuaries and other special venues are medicine shows for the modern mind, such as "Carols in the Caves", "Cave of the Drums", "Cave of the Spirits", and "Drums of Peace" (sounds for sacred spaces in historic churches, cathedrals and other sanctified settings).
He plays dozens of dulcimers, psalteries, harps, panpipes, flutes, concertinas, marimbas, bells, gongs, and drums of many cultures, in creative concerts combining tradition with spontaneity in an informal, friendly spirit. He emphasizes simplicity. No two performances are alike.
