Sister & Brother: Mental Health Exploration Art Show

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month and Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, MK Wong will be presenting seven sequential paintings that explore mental health care and stigmas. Don't miss out on the artist's reception on May 16 from 6p to 7:30p.

The paintings chronicle a younger brother's witness of his teenage sister's mental deterioration over time. In the paintings, colors, fantastical elements, and real-life objects intermingle and come together to break down the heaviness of the topics and reconstruct them into a visually engaging story accessible to a wide range of audiences from adolescents and families to adults to comic book enthusiasts.
